SEN Teaching Assistant – Lewisham Primary School

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs in a primary school in Lewisham. The role involves working closely with teachers to ensure inclusive learning experiences for Year 2 students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Assist teachers with differentiated activities and interventions.
• Help create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEN programme.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school or educational setting.
• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred.
• Patience, adaptability and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
