SEN Teaching Assistant – Psychology Graduate (Full‑time)

About the role
We are seeking a Psychology Graduate to join our specialist school in Salisbury as a SEN Teaching Assistant. This full‑time, long‑term position offers hands‑on experience supporting children with autism, ADHD and other complex needs.
Key responsibilities
- Support a group of up to eight pupils during classroom lessons.
- Promote emotional wellbeing and assist with behaviour management.
- Help develop social and communication skills.
- Collaborate with therapists and SEN specialists to deliver tailored interventions.
Required profile
- Recent graduate with a degree in Psychology.
- Passion for special education and mental health.
- Willingness to work with children aged 5‑16 in a school setting.
Required skills
- Understanding of autism, ADHD and other SEN conditions.
- Basic knowledge of behaviour management techniques.
