SEN Tutor – 1:1 Special Educational Needs Support

About the role
Academics is seeking a passionate SEN Tutor to deliver one‑to‑one tuition for children with Special Educational Needs in Sittingbourne. You will work directly with pupils outside the mainstream classroom, helping them build confidence and achieve their educational goals.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition to pupils with SEN.
- Support children working outside a mainstream classroom environment.
- Plan engaging lessons that meet individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
- Build confidence, independence and a love of learning.
- Provide flexible hours to match your availability.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia).
- Confidence adapting lessons to individual learning styles.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Patience, resilience and passion for helping every child succeed.
- QTS, tutoring experience or relevant educational background (desirable).
