SEND Tutor – Flexible Part‑Time Teaching Role

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide one‑to‑one tuition for students in the Halton area. This part‑time position allows you to make a tangible difference by helping learners overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their academic targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalised 1:1 lessons tailored to each student’s abilities and needs.
• Support pupils with special educational needs, anxiety, or gaps caused by missed education.
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to maintain engagement and progress.
• Monitor and record student performance, providing feedback to parents or guardians.
• Collaborate with the agency to schedule sessions within 5‑15 hours per week.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable).
• Experience working with SEND pupils or disengaged learners in the UK.
• Creative, patient and flexible approach to teaching.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional references.

What we offer

• Flexible part‑time hours (5‑15 hours weekly) with the ability to set your own timetable.
• Hourly rate of £25‑£30.
• Ongoing placement starting September 2026.
