Senior Account Handler – Commercial Insurance

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Handler to join a leading commercial insurance brokerage in Cambridge. You will act as the primary point of contact for business clients, ensuring they receive cost‑effective insurance solutions that match their evolving needs. The role combines client relationship management with strategic negotiation across a range of commercial insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers.
• Attend client meetings to discuss current and future insurance requirements.
• Manage new business and renewal cases from inception to completion.
• Negotiate optimal policy terms and conduct market exercises when appropriate.
• Prepare and deliver business reports to clients and senior management.
• Mentor colleagues and act as a referral point for complex queries.
• Model professionalism, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven commercial account handling experience across a range of insurance products.
• Strong relationship‑management skills with the ability to work closely with clients.
• Experience in complex environments delivering tailored solutions.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
