Senior Account Manager - Consumer Fragrances

About the role

IFF, a global leader in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients and health & biosciences, is looking for a Senior Account Manager for its consumer fragrances business. Based in London, the role makes an immediate contribution to sales growth and develops a unique skillset by acting as a trusted advisor to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build knowledge of the specific market, customer environment, customer activities, strategies, brands, markets and consumers through all available sources
• Drive sustainable profitable sales and market share growth by identifying customers' needs, opportunities and risks
• Build long-term customer relationships, lead and execute activities and deliver solutions aligned with corporate strategy
• Understand customer decision-making criteria and, together with colleagues, understand customer regulatory requirements and changes
• Lead strategic commercial negotiations on annual pricing, payment terms, rebates and cost savings, and supply agreements
• Communicate the account plan and engage with internal stakeholders
• Manage the reactive and proactive customer project pipeline, including country studies and consumer studies

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the fragrance industry
• Experience working with international, cross-cultural and cross-functional teams
• Open-minded, agile and courageous, able to deliver in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Commercial mindset, bottom-line oriented, team player who motivates others
• Excellent influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
