About the role
Wallace White is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join its growing Accounts & Business Advisory team in Glasgow. This position offers a visible leadership opportunity within an independent firm that combines the flexibility of a boutique practice with the quality of larger organisations.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of owner‑managed business clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
- Review statutory accounts, VAT returns and management reporting prepared by the wider team.
- Support clients with corporate and personal tax matters alongside internal specialists.
- Deliver proactive commercial advice and build long‑term client relationships.
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
- Manage workflow across multiple assignments to ensure consistently high service delivery.
- Assist partners in driving an advisory‑led approach and contribute to the firm’s growth.
Required profile
- ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Strong accountancy practice experience, preferably in a client‑facing managerial role.
- Proven experience managing or reviewing the work of junior staff.
- Confident communicator able to build credibility with business owners and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple client engagements.
- Commercially minded, proactive and motivated with ambition to progress within a growing firm.
