Senior Accountant / Client Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant or Client Manager to join a growing Newquay‑based practice. The successful candidate will support clients with accounting and tax reporting, while also developing junior staff and building strong client relationships. You will play a key part in the firm’s continued growth and contribute to a friendly, progressive workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review clients’ statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns.
• Provide ongoing advisory support on accounting and taxation matters.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Mentor and train junior team members, ensuring high‑quality work.
• Develop and maintain proactive relationships with clients and internal colleagues.
• Support business development initiatives and client acquisition efforts.

Required profile

• Significant experience working in an accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
