Senior Accountant - French speaking

About the role

We are seeking a bilingual Senior Accountant to act as the bridge between our UK and French finance teams during a period of business transformation. This role will be based in the Manchester‑Liverpool area and will support the alignment of accounting practices across both countries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate financial information and documentation between the UK and France.
• Support the harmonisation of UK GAAP/IFRS with French accounting standards.
• Assist with post‑acquisition accounting integration and ERP migration.
• Produce monthly financial reports and bilingual management dashboards.
• Support month‑end close, reconciliations and overall financial reporting.
• Liaise daily with French and UK stakeholders, translating technical accounting discussions.
• Support audit, tax and acquisition‑related finance activities.

Required profile

• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of UK and French accounting principles (UK GAAP/IFRS).
• Experience with month‑end close, financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Good understanding of financial consolidation.
• Advanced Excel skills with excellent organisational attention to detail.
