Senior Accounts and Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts and Tax Manager to lead a growing team within a progressive accountancy practice. The role offers autonomy, flexible hours and the chance to influence the firm’s future direction while maintaining high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support a team of accountants, fostering development and performance.
• Review and finalise client accounts to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee workflow, maintain internal trackers and guarantee deadlines are met.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, building and sustaining strong relationships.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on complex accounting and tax matters.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on technical issues and business improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with solid technical experience in accounts and tax.
• Proven track record of reviewing and finalising accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Approachable leadership style and excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in an accountancy practice environment.
