Senior AI Engineer – AI Applications & LLMs

About the role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build and operate cutting‑edge AI‑enabled applications that deliver real business impact. The role is hands‑on, focusing on applying large language models (LLMs) and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines in live services rather than creating new algorithms from scratch.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI‑powered applications using modern cloud platforms.
• Build, deploy and maintain LLM‑based systems, including RAG pipelines and autonomous agents.
• Develop robust, scalable solutions following software‑engineering best practices.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows and monitor performance, cost, reliability and security in production.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to turn AI concepts into operational services.
• Ensure AI solutions meet ethical, governance and compliance standards.
• Support experimentation, proofs of concept and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering AI applications into production.
• Solid software‑engineering background, especially with Python and cloud‑based systems.
• Hands‑on experience with large language models and prompt engineering.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Capability to identify and shape AI use cases with tangible business value.
• Desirable: experience in regulated or public‑sector environments and familiarity with agile delivery.
