Senior Application Developer (Python/Django/React)

About the role

e.surv Chartered Surveyors is seeking a Senior Application Developer to design, build and maintain web‑based solutions that support its nationwide property risk and surveying services. You will work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to deliver robust, secure applications that meet the fast‑paced demands of the real‑estate sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain Python/Django and ReactJS applications.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, including performance tuning, indexing and security audits.
• Implement backup and business‑continuity procedures in line with IT policies.
• Collaborate with BAs to ensure solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and deliver expected benefits.
• Document code, create technical documentation and share knowledge across the team.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for all related applications.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing Python/Django and ReactJS applications.
• Strong understanding of web security, session management and OWASP best practices.
• Proven ability to analyse execution plans and optimise SQL queries.
• Experience following change and release management processes.
