Senior Architectural Technician / Technologist

About the role

Legah Architecture is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician/Technologist to join its Bedford office. The role is hands‑on, focusing on producing high‑quality technical information for residential and small commercial projects while ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed Building Regulations and construction drawing packages.
• Develop technical details and construction information from design proposals.
• Coordinate and check technical drawing packages before issue.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and Building Control.
• Support planning and design drawings and assist with project coordination through technical and construction stages.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or Technologist, preferably at senior level.
• Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects and meet programme deadlines.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Revit (BIM environment) – essential.
• Competence in UK Building Regulations.
• Construction detailing and knowledge of construction methods.
• Experience with CDM processes.
