About the Role

Join Axira Partners as an Area Sales Manager for the Scotland and North East UK region. This is a high-impact, field-based role designed for a strategic sales professional looking to drive growth within the optical and ophthalmology sectors, managing both high-value capital equipment and high-volume consumables.

Main Missions

  • Drive territorial growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding the existing customer base within retail optical groups and independent practices.
  • Manage complex, long-cycle sales processes for capital equipment while maintaining consistent volume growth for consumables.
  • Collaborate closely with practice owners, store managers, and clinicians to deliver solutions that enhance clinical outcomes and commercial performance.
  • Implement structured account planning, pipeline management, and territory development strategies.
  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships with key stakeholders to standardize product usage and increase market share.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven track record in medical device or optical sales, specifically managing both capital and consumable portfolios.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate long sales cycles and influence decision-makers at multiple levels (clinicians to business owners).
  • Strong strategic thinker with a disciplined approach to territory management and CRM/pipeline tracking.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a field-based environment.
