Senior Associate – Employment Law – Up to £90k – Bristol

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Associate to join a nationally recognised top‑100 law firm’s employment team in Bristol. The role offers exposure to high‑value, technically demanding matters for public sector bodies, healthcare organisations and large institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on complex employee‑relations issues and strategic HR matters.
• Lead employment tribunal litigation, including high‑profile and reputationally sensitive claims.
• Manage restructuring, redundancy and organisational change projects.
• Handle discrimination, whistleblowing and senior exit cases.
• Develop policies and governance frameworks for regulated environments.
• Contribute to client relationship management, training delivery and business development.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience in employment law (flexibility for strong candidates).
• Proven ability to handle both contentious and advisory work.
• Experience with public sector or large institutional clients is desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and client‑facing skills.
• Ambition to step into or further develop a senior associate role.
