Senior Associate – Film, TV & Theatre Solicitor

About the role

Our client, a leading London law firm with a market‑leading Media and Entertainment practice, is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Film, Television & Theatre Group. You will work alongside recognised industry experts, providing legal advice to high‑profile producers, studios, investors and talent across the creative sector.

Key responsibilities

• Advise producers on rights‑based matters, including creator agreements, rights acquisition and chain‑of‑title issues.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements covering development, finance, production and distribution.
• Provide structuring advice to producers, studios and investors on financing and investment arrangements.
• Support clients with day‑to‑day legal requirements of productions and live events.
• Advise on general commercial and intellectual‑property matters within the entertainment sector.

Required profile

• UK‑qualified solicitor with 4–9 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Strong background in film, TV, theatre, live events or broader commercial/IP practice.
• Experience gained in a recognised private practice firm or relevant in‑house environment.
