Senior Associate – Insurance Disputes (6+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Associate with at least six years post‑qualification experience to lead complex insurance litigation matters for a leading UK law firm. The role involves advising top insurers, reinsurers, Lloyd’s syndicates and intermediaries on high‑value coverage disputes and cross‑border claims.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve complex, high‑value insurance coverage disputes.
• Provide advice on policy interpretation, reinsurance issues and cross‑border claims.
• Maintain direct client contact with leading insurers and reinsurers.
• Develop new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Required profile

• 6+ years PQE in insurance disputes.
• Strong coverage experience from a recognised insurance practice.
• Proven track record handling complex, high‑value disputes for insurers and/or reinsurers.
• Good understanding of the London market and Lloyd’s.
• Client‑facing and business development capabilities.

Required skills

• Experience in financial lines, D&O, cyber, property, professional indemnity, reinsurance, political risk, marine or energy insurance is desirable.
