Senior Audit Manager – Lead Audit Engagements

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager to lead and manage audit engagements within a leading, independent accountancy firm. Based in Leatherhead, the role focuses on delivering high‑quality audit services while supporting the growth of the accounting and finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Regular exposure to owners and directors of client organisations
• Liaising closely with Audit Partners on client affairs from an audit and commercial perspective
• Providing accountancy and commercial management support to clients
• Conducting audit risk assessment and planning
• Delivering statutory and non‑statutory audits in line with International Audit Standards and UK law
• Preparing financial statements that meet statutory reporting requirements
• Undertaking one‑off assignments such as due diligence, investigations and valuations
• Ensuring quality control and continuous improvement of audit processes
• Leading and developing junior staff
• Contributing to proposals for new work and business development initiatives

Required profile

• Significant experience managing audits for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Strong knowledge of International Audit Standards and UK statutory requirements
• Proven ability to work closely with Audit Directors and Partners
• Experience leading audit teams and developing junior staff
• Excellent communication with senior client stakeholders
