Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – Electrical Distribution

About the role

Freedom Group, part of NG Bailey, is seeking experienced Senior Authorised Persons (SAP) to join its electrical distribution team. You will work on high‑profile infrastructure projects across the UK’s DNO networks, supporting safe and compliant power delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver electrical works on LV, HV and EHV networks for DNO clients such as UK Power Networks, SSEN, SPEN, NPG, ENW and National Grid.
• Maintain and renew authorisation status in line with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Support the development of franchise opportunities for experienced SAPs.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Authorised Person on LV, HV or EHV projects.
• Extensive knowledge of UK distribution network operations and standards.
• Willingness to work 45 hours per week with overtime as required.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental practices.
• Ability to travel to project sites across England and Scotland.
