Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role

This senior position offers the chance to join a fast‑growing consultancy‑led technology business that delivers innovative cloud and AI‑driven solutions across multiple industries. You will own the design and delivery of Azure‑native cloud infrastructure, working closely with internal consultants and clients to drive transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Provide architectural guidance and solution design as a subject‑matter expert.
• Support internal consultants with cloud solutioning and infrastructure recommendations.
• Build and manage cloud resources such as virtual machines, SQL Servers, Web Apps and Docker environments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Drive a code‑first approach with Infrastructure‑as‑Code and automation.
• Lead cloud integrations, including Azure Integration Services.
• Support governance, security, compliance, backup and recovery processes.
• Contribute to AI‑driven and innovation‑focused internal projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical standards across the team.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience in Microsoft Azure engineering and architecture.
• Track record of designing scalable, secure end‑to‑end cloud solutions.
• Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Understanding of security, governance and compliance within cloud environments.
