Senior Building Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a leading international consultancy’s property and infrastructure team in Manchester. The role involves delivering professional, project‑led building surveying services across a range of sectors, from commercial to public‑sector schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage refurbishment, asset improvement and redevelopment projects.
• Produce specifications, schedules of work and technical reports.
• Provide contract administration and oversee project delivery.
• Work with industry‑standard contracts, including JCT and NEC.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Mentor junior surveyors and support APC development.
• Assist senior managers with day‑to‑day activities.

Required profile

• MRICS chartered status is highly desirable.
• Proven experience delivering professional building surveying services.
• Strong client‑facing and communication abilities.
• Commercial awareness and capacity to manage multiple projects.
• Full understanding of Health & Safety requirements and statutory compliance.
