Senior Business Development Specialist (Mandarin Speaking)

About the role

HungryPanda is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist fluent in Mandarin to expand its network of Chinese and Asian catering merchants. You will lead end‑to‑end merchant negotiations, drive growth, and ensure long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and identify high‑potential catering merchants; develop and execute targeted BD strategies.
• Lead full‑cycle B‑end negotiations, sign high‑value merchants, deliver product training and manage platform integration.
• Visit key merchants regularly, understand their pain points and design customized growth plans to improve activity and retention.
• Manage daily merchant operations, resolve order issues, and proactively mitigate operational risks.
• Use data‑driven insights to collaborate with marketing, delivery, product and operations teams on incentive programmes and traffic strategies, boosting GMV and market share.
• Own core KPIs and project goals, lead small teams when needed, and share best practices to improve overall business development capability.

Required profile

• 2+ years of B‑end business development, merchant operations or B2B sales experience, preferably in internet food‑delivery or local life‑service platforms.
• Proven track record of meeting individual KPIs or leading teams to achieve business targets.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills with the ability to handle complex merchant scenarios.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to adapt messaging for merchants and internal stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented, data‑savvy and capable of analysing operational metrics to optimise strategies.
• Resilient under pressure, collaborative and able to thrive in a fast‑paced internet business environment.
