Senior Business Tax Manager – Bath

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Tax Manager to join a well‑established independent accountancy practice in Bath. You will lead tax compliance and advisory work for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery while supporting the department’s overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end business tax compliance processes for multiple client accounts.
• Provide tailored tax advisory services and identify planning opportunities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering expert advice and support.
• Review and finalise tax returns prepared by junior team members.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in UK tax legislation and ensure full compliance.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering their technical growth.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless client experience.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of UK business tax regulations.
• Proven experience managing tax compliance and advisory engagements.
• Ability to handle multiple client accounts efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional tax qualification such as CTA or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software and related IT systems.
