Senior Care Assistant – Braintree Care Home

About the role
Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at Braintree Mews Care Home as a Senior Care Assistant. You will work alongside a dedicated care team to provide high‑quality, person‑centred support for residents, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and dignity every day.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor resident wellbeing, update care plans and record any changes promptly.
- Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement and evaluate monthly care reviews.
- Assist residents with medication administration in line with policies.
- Conduct staff supervisions and support professional development where needed.
- Act as a primary contact for residents, families, visitors and health‑social care professionals, handling requests, concerns and complaints.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar residential care setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, supportive attitude towards residents and colleagues.
- Flexibility to cover a range of duties and shifts.
