Senior Commercial Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a commercially‑minded analyst to turn complex data into strategic insight. In this senior position you will design and maintain pricing and financial models that support investment decisions across a portfolio of assets, working closely with finance, commercial and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build, develop and maintain commercial pricing and financial models.
• Analyse costs, revenues, investment returns and commercial performance to inform pricing decisions.
• Create scenario models to evaluate different commercial strategies and market conditions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and performance to identify opportunities and risks.
• Produce clear, data‑driven recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Review and improve modelling methodologies for accuracy and robustness.
• Partner with finance, commercial and operational teams to understand performance and future opportunities.
• Coach and support junior analysts, promoting best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial analysis, pricing, financial modelling or investment appraisal.
• Strong quantitative and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, confident presenting to senior leaders.
• Proactive, collaborative approach with meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Python (or similar modelling tools).
• Power BI.
