Senior Commercial Solicitor – Corporate Law (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Commercial Solicitor to lead our corporate law department. Based in Stroud, this hybrid position offers the chance to manage high‑value transactions while shaping the strategic direction of a fast‑growing practice.

Key responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial matters including mergers & acquisitions, restructurings and corporate advisory.
• Lead and develop the commercial law team, mentor junior lawyers and drive recruitment.
• Generate new business through marketing, article writing, PR and networking activities.
• Draft and negotiate sale and purchase agreements and other transactional documents.
• Apply commercial insight to ensure client‑centred decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 4–5 years PQE in company commercial law.
• Proven leadership experience, including department growth and business development.
• Strong client relationship skills and a commercial mindset.
