Senior Construction Manager – Data Centre Projects

About the role

Skanska UK is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of complex data centre projects in Slough. You will be responsible for day‑to‑day construction management of defined build packages, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and deliver building, structural, architectural, logistics, fit‑out and interface works within a data centre environment.
• Manage critical interfaces between building works and MEP services, working closely with Building Services, commissioning and specialist subcontractors.
• Partner with Design Managers to translate Stage 4 and Stage 5 design information into practical construction solutions.
• Support procurement activities, including scope development, package reviews and subcontractor engagement.
• Develop and maintain short‑term and look‑ahead programmes, ensuring effective production control and site sequencing.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager or equivalent on major construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large‑scale site operations.
• Strong understanding of data centre construction requirements and MEP integration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
