Senior Construction Manager – Grade I Listed Town Hall Project

About the role

Bovis is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a Grade I listed Town Hall project in Manchester City Centre. You will be responsible for coordinating all construction activities, ensuring safety, quality and timely execution while working closely with multidisciplinary teams and the client.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coordinate construction activities on site.
• Develop and maintain the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
• Oversee supply‑chain management from surveys through to main construction.
• Plan logistics, phasing and pre‑construction programmes, including project controls and online quality‑control systems.
• Recruit, develop and supervise construction teams ready for delivery.
• Drive an Incident‑and‑Injury‑Free climate across the site and supply chain.
• Support the commercial team with accurate record‑keeping and reporting.
• Ensure the project meets safety, quality, budget and programme targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior construction manager on complex, multi‑year projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and construction logistics.
• Ability to work directly with senior decision‑makers and provide technical guidance.
