Senior Consultant – Ops/Strategy (National Security, DV Cleared)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant to join a specialist consultancy delivering high‑impact transformation and strategy programmes for Defence and National Security clients. The role involves working directly with senior stakeholders in highly secure environments to solve strategic business challenges, optimise operating models and support critical investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex consulting engagements across Defence and National Security sectors.
• Apply structured consulting methodologies to deliver project delivery and multiple workstreams.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to produce strategic recommendations and business cases.
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as the primary day‑to‑day interface.
• Support business development by identifying and pursuing new consulting opportunities.
• Contribute to thought leadership, knowledge sharing and capability development within the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering consulting engagements in Defence, National Security or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong background in business strategy, operating model transformation, cost optimisation and investment decision support.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client‑facing consulting skills.
• Experience leading project teams and managing multiple workstreams.
• Must hold enhanced DV / UKIC clearance.
