Senior Contract Consultant – Rail Division

About the role

The Senior Contract Consultant will lead day‑to‑day operations for the SWR contract within Adecco's Rail division. Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will act as the main liaison between clients, station staff and internal teams, ensuring high client satisfaction and compliance with gate‑line standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Contract Manager in rolling out new stations and recruiting staff to operate gates.
• Manage the full lifecycle of candidate placements, from onboarding to ongoing administration.
• Build and maintain relationships with station managers and supervisors, including regular visits, training and inductions.
• Oversee a team of Supervisors, set weekly schedules and ensure all shifts are covered.
• Handle staff escalations, disciplinary actions, grievances and dismissals.
• Ensure client invoicing aligns with contract terms and timelines.
• Monitor gateline compliance, aiming for at least 97% in line with DFT regulations.
• Attend monthly ambassador meetings, record minutes and follow up on actions.
• Cover for the Contract Manager or Senior Consultant during absences.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract or workforce management within a transport or logistics environment.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities, with experience supervising a team.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, station staff and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to travel frequently across the rail network and work remotely.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and DFT compliance standards.
