Senior Cyber & Technology Underwriter (Manchester)

About the role

IPS Group, on behalf of a global insurer, is seeking a Senior Cyber & Technology Underwriter to join its growing Manchester team. The role combines technical underwriting, business development and broker relationship management to drive profitable growth of the regional cyber portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal cyber and technology risks.
• Drive profitable new‑business growth across the North West market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key broker partners.
• Support regional business plans and execute the annual cyber strategy.
• Contribute to cyber product development and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Monitor portfolio performance, retention and underwriting profitability.
• Negotiate terms and pricing for complex and strategic opportunities.
• Collaborate with Financial Lines and Cyber teams to achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven underwriting experience in cyber, technology or financial lines.
• Track record of developing new business and delivering profitable growth in a regional market.
• Experience managing senior‑level broker relationships.
• Commercially minded with strong technical underwriting and risk assessment capabilities.
