Senior Data Discovery & Enrichment Expert – SEP Intelligence Lead

About the role

As a Senior Data Discovery and Enrichment (DDE) Expert III you will independently lead complex data discovery and enrichment projects, defining methodologies, best practices and governance for LexisNexis IP Solutions’ SEP content expansion and guiding AI capabilities across the IPlytics and Protégé platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Drive Data Discovery and Enrichment projects for SEP and standards‑related content, establishing quality evaluation standards for question classes such as essentiality assessment and royalty range analysis.
• Author acceptance criteria for new AI capabilities, hold release‑gate authority, and calibrate automated evaluation systems against expert judgment.
• Define and maintain methodology for SEP landscape construction and deliver bespoke landscape engagements for high‑value customers.
• Lead quarterly sessions with FRAND practitioners, licensing executives and patent pool representatives to surface new failure modes.

Required profile

• Recognised expertise in data discovery, taxonomy, classification or content enrichment, with a track record of leading such projects independently.
• Direct practitioner experience in FRAND licensing, SEP essentiality analysis or SEP portfolio management at a patent holder, law firm or patent pool.
• Working knowledge of major standards bodies (e.g., 3GPP/ETSI, IEEE, MPEG, AOM, JEDEC, ITU) and their patent ecosystems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, law or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
