Senior Data Engineer – Hybrid – Up to £65,000

About the role

We are supporting a leading organisation in delivering diverse transformation programmes. As a Senior Data Engineer you will play a key role in building enterprise‑scale data and AI solutions while providing technical leadership across complex projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain data pipelines using SQL, Python and modern cloud platforms.
• Construct and evolve data architectures in a cloud‑agnostic environment.
• Translate business requirements into effective data solutions in collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.
• Shape the technical direction of the data function and contribute to its growth.
• Mentor junior team members and support AI/ML initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering data and AI solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong background in designing, building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data architecture and modelling practices.
• Experience supporting AI/ML projects within data engineering.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Full, unrestricted right to work in the UK and availability to work on‑site at least three days a week.
