Senior Data Engineer – Private Equity Real Estate

About the role

An opportunity to join a leading private equity investment firm and help shape its cloud‑based data platform. You will design scalable pipelines, integrate diverse data sources and deliver high‑quality data that drives investment decisions. The role is hands‑on, fast‑paced and includes mentoring two junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Integrate internal and external data sources using APIs and scripting.
• Build and enhance cloud‑based data infrastructure on AWS/GCP and SQL.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across the data platform.
• Ensure data quality, governance and reliability across datasets.
• Develop reporting and analytics solutions to support commercial decision‑making.
• Partner closely with business stakeholders to deliver data‑driven solutions.
• Mentor and support two junior Data Engineers.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong SQL and Python development experience.
• Solid experience with Snowflake (essential).
• Experience building cloud‑based data platforms on AWS and/or GCP.
• Proven ability to work with APIs and integrate multiple data sources.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous mentoring or coaching experience is desirable.
