Senior Digital Marketing Manager – Interim (Remote)

About the role

We are supporting a leading retail and e‑commerce business that needs a senior digital marketing leader on an interim basis. The role is primarily remote, with occasional visits to offices in the Midlands or South West, and focuses on shaping strategy rather than day‑to‑day platform execution.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the digital acquisition strategy across PPC, paid social, organic social, SEO and affiliate channels.
• Manage and challenge agency partners to maximise performance and ROI.
• Provide guidance to internal specialists executing campaigns.
• Drive collaboration between paid and organic teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
• Review channel performance, identify growth opportunities and implement improvements.
• Assess and optimise the affiliate marketing programme.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior digital marketing role within retail or e‑commerce.
• Strong agency management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Deep understanding of performance‑based acquisition and multi‑channel strategy.
• Commercially minded, analytical and confident influencing senior stakeholders.

What we offer

• 6‑month initial contract with the possibility of extension.
• Day rate of £350‑£400, outside IR35.
• Flexibility to work remotely with occasional office visits.
