Senior Director of Innovation (EMEA)

About the role

Monster Energy is seeking a Senior Director of Innovation to lead the EMEA innovation agenda. Reporting to the VP of NPD EMEA, you will shape the product and packaging pipeline across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, translating commercial ambitions into a clear, executable roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own a 2–3‑year innovation pipeline aligned with growth targets and consumer trends.
• Lead annual portfolio planning, investment decisions and technical direction for new products, ingredients, formulations and packaging.
• Assess and prioritize innovation opportunities through commercial, regulatory and supply‑chain lenses, building robust business cases.
• Manage multi‑market innovation programmes, ensuring projects are scoped, resourced and positioned for commercial success.
• Maintain and improve the regional innovation governance framework, mitigating risks and removing barriers.
• Track performance metrics, analyse outcomes and report progress, risks and opportunities to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in product innovation within a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable product launches.
• Deep technical understanding of beverage formulation, ingredients and packaging technologies.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders across commercial, marketing, R&D and operations functions.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills, with a focus on speed and value creation.
