Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Catia (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with recent Catia V5 experience to join a 12‑month contract at Samlesbury Aerodrome, Lancashire. You will work within a multidisciplinary aerospace team to define and verify the electrical architecture of airframe products.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, suppliers and customers to develop integrated product solutions.
• Produce and issue airframe engineering design data in line with project standards, maintaining quality, cost and schedule.
• Verify design data before independent checks to ensure compliance with functional and safety requirements.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation plans where appropriate.
• Support personal and team development, mentoring junior engineers as needed.
• Resolve design queries and manage resulting modifications or changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an airframe design role or a closely related discipline.
• Recent hands‑on experience using Catia V5, preferably the Electrical 3D & 2D Design Toolset.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (British nationality or indefinite leave to remain).

Required skills

• Catia V5 (Electrical 3D & 2D Design).

• Zonal safety analysis and compliance verification.

• 12‑month contract at £47.12 per hour UMB or £35 per hour PAYE (Inside IR35).
