Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Electrical Consultant Engineer to join our West & Wales Built Asset Consultancy team in Bristol, working on a variety of sectors such as public, environmental, commercial and education projects. The role involves independent design from RIBA Stage 0‑4 and providing technical advice throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake project feasibility studies and detailed technical design of electrical services.
• Produce technical drawings, full electrical tender packages and conduct electrical condition, pre‑acquisition, dilapidation and PPM surveys.
• Monitor electrical works on site, report on conformity and quality, and act as technical advisor to clients and contractors.
• Develop commercial strategies and support the growth of the regional M&E service.

Required profile

• BSc Electrical Engineering (minimum) and recognised M&E qualification; chartered or willing to obtain MCIBSE.
• Proven experience in independent electrical design from RIBA Stage 0‑4 and asset surveying.
• Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Southwest and South Wales.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Bluebeam.
• Competent use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of REVit (beneficial).
