Senior Employment Associate – Employment Law

About the role

AJ Chambers is partnering with a leading London law firm to hire a Senior Employment Associate. You will join a dynamic employment team, handling complex matters for employer clients and providing strategic advice across a range of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes, including TUPE and business transfers.
• Lead Employment Tribunal claims such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract.
• Negotiate senior executive exits, settlements and post‑termination disputes, including restrictive covenants.
• Draft and advise on employment contracts, service agreements, staff handbooks and HR policies.
• Provide HR advisory support to retained clients and corporate guidance on employment aspects of M&A.
• Advise on employee incentive arrangements and share‑scheme structures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in employment law.
• Proven track record advising employer clients on both contentious and non‑contentious matters.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially focused and solution‑driven approach.
