Senior Engineer – Issue Management & Lessons Learned (Fixed-Term)

About the role

Lotus UK Manufacturing is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead Issue Management and Lessons Learned activities on a fixed‑term basis until December. You will work within the Quality team at our Hethel plant, ensuring that product‑related issues are resolved efficiently and that valuable lessons are captured for future projects.

Key responsibilities

• Champion Lotus issue‑management processes to guarantee systematic, robust problem resolution.
• Collaborate with engineers across design, manufacturing and quality to address complex technical challenges.
• Own and maintain a centralized database of lessons learned from historic projects.
• Review lessons learned with key stakeholders to prevent recurrence of known issues.
• Act as the technical liaison between departments, facilitating clear communication.
• Develop, maintain and present KPIs that provide insight to project teams and senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the technical lead for the issue‑management system, supporting users and coordinating system improvements with IT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Hands‑on experience with DFMEA and PFMEA throughout the product lifecycle.
• Proven track record of leading the resolution of complex technical issues.
• Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes and drive effective solutions.
