Senior Family Solicitor / Branch Manager – Cirencester

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Family Solicitor with at least five years post‑qualification experience to lead and grow our new Cirencester office. The role combines high‑level family law practice with full branch management responsibilities, offering the chance to shape a thriving practice while delivering compassionate client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied, privately funded family law caseload from instruction to conclusion, handling client meetings, drafting documents and attending hearings.
• Provide strategic leadership for the Cirencester branch, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, performance and development.
• Recruit, mentor and develop a high‑performing team of solicitors and support staff.
• Drive business development initiatives to generate new work and strengthen local client relationships.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accurate time recording, cost management and billing.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years PQE in family law with a proven track record of handling complex cases.
• Demonstrated leadership and people‑management experience, preferably in a branch or practice‑development setting.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development.
• Excellent communication skills, empathy and a client‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously while fostering a collaborative team culture.
