Senior Family Solicitor – Bury

About the role

We are a well‑established regional law firm, recognised by the Legal 500, seeking a Senior Family Solicitor to join our Bury office. The role offers the chance to inherit an existing caseload while shaping the department’s future and expanding our presence across Greater Manchester.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, private law children issues, cohabitation disputes (including TOLATA), injunctions and domestic abuse work.
• Draft clear, tailored documentation and correspondence for clients.
• Represent clients in court or mediation where appropriate.
• Travel regularly between offices and attend client meetings, court hearings and local networking events.
• Proactively participate in business development, networking and local marketing activities.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with senior‑level experience in family law.
• Strong advocacy and client‑care skills.
• Ability to manage a mixed caseload independently.
• Willingness to travel regularly between offices and to external meetings.
• Commitment to business development and firm growth.
