About the role
ASOS is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to own the accounting and financial control of stock operations across retail, warehousing and accounts payable. You will work closely with Commercial Finance, Operations and Technology to ensure accurate inventory reporting and support strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of Group stock operations.
- Lead accounting for stock‑related financial entries and translate transactional data into summary reports for stakeholders.
- Apply appropriate IFRS accounting treatment for inventory, including weighted average cost (WAC) and stock capitalisation.
- Account for stock provisions and GRNI balances in collaboration with Commercial Finance and Accounts Payable.
- Support testing and financial impact assessments for warehouse and operational change initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain stock balance‑sheet reconciliations with value‑add commentary.
- Document and maintain stock‑related financial controls, identify weaknesses and recommend improvements.
- Assist with interim and year‑end audit requirements, providing auditable information on time.
- Communicate accounting insights and updates to Financial Control, Commercial Finance, Operations and Technology teams.
Required profile
- Strong experience in inventory and stock accounting within a retail or e‑commerce environment.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS standards applied to inventory.
- Ability to analyse detailed transactional data and produce clear summary reporting.
- Proven collaboration skills with Commercial Finance, Accounts Payable and Operations.
- Experience supporting audit processes and financial controls.
