Senior Finance Analyst

About the role

Evolution Money is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join its finance team in Manchester. You will play a pivotal role in shaping investment decisions, forecasting performance and supporting the company’s mission to broaden financial inclusion for UK homeowners.

Key responsibilities

• Build bespoke commercial models and collaborate with operations and project teams to drive investment decisions and assess post‑implementation benefits.
• Analyse financial data, perform forecasting and present insights to senior management for strategic decision‑making.
• Support data‑maturity, governance and analytics initiatives across the organisation.
• Work closely with credit‑risk teams, providing trend analysis, forecasts and actionable recommendations.
• Evaluate historic financial performance against current results and industry trends to suggest improvements.
• Conduct market research, extract industry data and stay up‑to‑date with financial practices and market conditions.
• Create generic and ad‑hoc reports and assist with month‑end and other BAU activities.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with extensive senior financial analysis experience, preferably within a financial‑services environment.
• Strong analytical ability to identify key trends and present data in engaging ways.
• Proven Excel modelling expertise and a willingness to code or learn new tools for data manipulation and reporting.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills while challenging assumptions and past practices.
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented mindset combined with the ability to influence high‑level strategy.
• Curious problem‑solver who asks the right questions to determine the best course of action.
