Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

Conservation International is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its Structured Finance, Analysis and Risk (SFAR) team within the Nature Finance Group. The role supports the development and review of financial models for a range of nature‑focused investment opportunities and helps build tools that enable the scaling of nature finance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review complex financial models in Excel for pooled asset vehicles, blended‑finance funds, outcome bonds, and carbon projects.
• Support early‑stage business modeling, including structures such as convertible debt.
• Analyze debt‑restructuring models, including sovereign refinancing for nature‑related projects.
• Monitor GEF/GCF NGI investments and conduct financial due diligence on new opportunities.
• Create and standardize modeling templates and financial tools to improve analysis efficiency.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in financial modeling and analysis, preferably within sustainable or impact finance.
• Demonstrated ability to work with complex blended‑finance structures and carbon‑project economics.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to review external models.
• Experience supporting due‑diligence processes and portfolio performance monitoring.
