Senior Financial Modeller (Treasury)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Treasury professional to join a leading global Natural Resources group on a 3‑6 month contract starting in August. The role sits within the Group Treasury function, reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, and focuses on high‑impact financial modelling and strategic presentation work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead liquidity and leverage modelling across cash‑flow and balance‑sheet forecasts.
• Run scenario analysis on macro‑economic variables, funding structures and working‑capital dynamics.
• Transform modelling outputs into board and committee papers.
• Conduct hedge forecasting and strategic hedging analysis for commodities, FX and interest rates.
• Engage with banks, bondholders and credit rating agencies.
• Monitor covenant compliance and review treasury elements of disclosures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of finance and/or treasury experience.
• Expert‑level financial modelling capability.
• Strong understanding of large capital structures, significant debt portfolios and banking relationships.
• ACA, ACCA or ACT qualification.
• Proven confidence in preparing and presenting strategic material to senior stakeholders.
• Background in energy, mining, telecoms, construction or utilities is advantageous.
