Senior Frontend Engineer, Marketing Website

About the role

Senior Frontend Engineer will co‑own the component library, content model and rendering stack that powers synthesia.io. You will shape technical direction, make key decisions and deliver high‑quality, reusable code that scales to millions of monthly visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve the section library using Astro components, Sanity schemas and design tokens.
• Own the content model, designing schemas that prevent misuse and enable correct‑by‑construction page building.
• Translate Figma specs into responsive, accessible production components across mobile, tablet and desktop.
• Integrate AI‑assisted development tools to generate on‑brand sections from design specifications.
• Maintain SEO integrity, including canonicals, sitemaps, structured data and safe launch redirects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years at senior level building front‑end for content‑driven platforms.
• Hands‑on ownership of a Sanity content model and familiarity with GROQ and Portable Text.
• Deep expertise in HTML, CSS and TypeScript, with strong component API design skills.
• Ability to work end‑to‑end, including SSR, serverless/edge runtimes, API routes, SQL databases and CI pipelines.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, cross‑browser compatibility, web performance and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.
