Senior HR Advisor

About the role

This senior HR Business Partner position offers the chance to act as a trusted adviser to leaders across a growing financial services organisation. You will combine hands‑on operational HR work with strategic project delivery, coaching managers and influencing stakeholders to support the wider people agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on a broad range of people matters.
• Lead and manage complex employee‑relations cases, ensuring commercially focused and legally compliant outcomes.
• Coach and develop managers to build confidence in performance, engagement and employee issue management.
• Design and deliver training and development initiatives that strengthen leadership capability.
• Support organisational change, restructuring activities and wider business transformation projects.
• Contribute to the HR Business Plan and key people initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive a positive, high‑performing culture.
• Mentor junior HR team members, sharing knowledge and best practice.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Utilise HR systems and data to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.
• Travel to other business locations as required.

Required profile

• CIPD‑qualified HR professional with a strong generalist background.
• Proven experience in a fast‑paced, commercially focused environment, preferably within financial services or another regulated sector.
• Strong employee‑relations expertise with the ability to manage complex, sensitive cases independently.
• Demonstrable experience across the full employee life‑cycle, including recruitment, performance management, talent development and organisational change.
• Excellent coaching and influencing skills, with a track record of building management capability and partnering effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded and pragmatic approach to HR solutions.
