Senior HR Advisor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join a leading engineering company in North Leeds. You will work closely with line managers and the HR team to deliver recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and wellbeing initiatives across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruitment, from attraction to pre‑employment checks and onboarding.
• Coordinate induction, integration and leaver processes, including exit interviews and documentation.
• Develop, communicate and maintain HR policies and procedures.
• Provide general HR administration and ensure GDPR compliance.
• Support health and wellbeing programmes, sign‑post to EAP and manage sickness, holiday and absence records.
• Advise line managers on performance management and maintain related records.
• Assist the HR Manager in building strong relationships and delivering HR projects.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as an HR Advisor or Generalist.
• Background in construction, engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Experience supporting a multi‑site, blue‑collar workforce.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Good knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
• Educated to A‑Level or above.
• Mental health first‑aid certification.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office.
