Senior IT Project Manager

About the role

SGN is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, high‑budget technology projects across multiple workstreams. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end delivery, from initiation through deployment, ensuring projects meet quality, time and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver projects that span several applications or technology platforms.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change in line with SGN’s methodology.
• Oversee full systems development life‑cycle, ensuring stage‑gate quality and control.
• Report progress and present outcomes to senior management and portfolio leads.
• Mentor and coach less‑experienced Project Managers and provide line‑management where required.
• Drive process‑improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with multiple project management methodologies and techniques.
• Proven ability to manage highly complex, high‑budget or legislative change projects.
• Strong competencies in project planning, budgeting, time management, scope, risk and change management.
• Experience handling failing or “in‑trouble” projects and bringing them back on track.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
